Fraudulent Loan Reinstated On My Credit Report. It’s Ruining My Life

Sadly, I am back again with a horrible situation my mother put me in. Location: Michigan. Bridgecrest operates in Phoenix AZ.

Back in April my mom used my identity to open a joint car loan under Bridgecrest. I didn’t notice on my credit report until July, that’s where I made a police report about the incident and an FTC report.

In July/ early august I’m in the process of disputing this fraud from my credit report. All three bureaus considered that it was fraudulent and took it off my credit report.

I get a letter from Bridgecrest in the mail that they are finding the account to be valid and that they will not be deleting any tradelines. Even after months on end of contact, send my police report over multiple times, been in contact with like 6 different Bridgecrest representatives… still for them to find this fraud accurate.

A month passes it is October and I think I’m safe, my credit went back to how it was…

now early November comes and my credit drops well over 100 points. I check to see what is happening and Bridgecrest is reinstated on my credit report ( the 7 year thing) and is marked as repossessed. The only reason it was ever repoed was literally because I reported the fraud, and the car company they work with ( CARVANA) figured it was fraud as well and placed the vehicle out for immediate repossession. This is not my fault so why is Bridgecrest putting this back onto my credit report. I’ve said to them multiple times I’m a victim of ID theft and they don’t work with me. Even during my first dispute I reported them to the CFPB… that was almost no help either. They just give me a Bridgecrest supervisor that does not want to help with my situation.

I call transunion ( the only bureau reporting at the time) to dispute again. The rep attached the police report from my previous dispute I won, and I wait the 30 days for my dispute to come back. Well it comes back saying Bridgecrest thinks it’s valid and it’s staying on my report. I call transunion again to where they tell me that they can’t help me past the reinsertion and that they are just the mediator and that id have to work it out with Bridgecrest. I’m like I’ve been at this for MONTHS and they don’t help me and you as a supervisor with transunion is basically telling me there’s nothing I can do about it? Bridgecrest won’t believe me so I’m just fucked for the next 7 years?

I’m explaining this to the agent and there like sorry even if you dispute this you still have to get it cleared with Bridgecrest. Great. I don’t know what to do I don’t even have money for a lawyer and this situation I feel like they are doing this to me on purpose. I’ve never even had a court case before I don’t know how to fix this or go about this but I really need help. Bridgecrest is keeping this fraud account open under my name and has ruined my credit and now my life because I can no longer get a home or car because my credit is so bad now. I’ve never missed a payment in my life.
