Legal Advice For Vrbo Incident?

Card image cap

I was trying to book a Vrbo a little while ago. Came to inquire about a space that was advertised as a private room. What I didn't know (and what wasn't in the description) was that I would be sharing the place with the host, her boyfriend, and their cat. She told me in messaging that I would be confirmed if I make a payment. I made a first partial payment without the knowledge that I would be sharing the space with them.

She then asked for my phone number, where she told me that I would be sharing the space. I told her that wasn't what I was looking for, and that wasn't mentioned in the description of the rental property. She told me to just cancel the inquiry, then, which I did not possess the power to do - only she could do that.

I then contacted Vrbo about the inaccurate listing, and they said they would reach out to them and tell them to cancel the booking inquiry. However, they did not. Instead, they charged my card again. They took about 3k of my money, and I didn't even stay there.

Furthermore, they then left a bad review of one star for every possible category as a guest.

What do I need to do to deal with this legally?
