Landlord Tenant Disagreement On Heating.

Hello, I have been having a bit of a feud with my landlord regarding heating. I rent a room in a house along with another tenant (1 year lease) the landlord also lives in the house. With the cooling months we have had some issues regarding heating. The house does have heating however to save costs the landlord prefers to heat the house via wood hearth. This initially did not bother me, I even helped cut and transport all the wood for the winter months. However, I have noticed that whenever we use it (which has been off and on depending on the weather) my allergies become severe. This has had a major impact on my sleep and subsequently my work. I wake up in the middle of the night with bloodshot eyes unable to breathe through my nose. My throat and nasal cavities become incredibly dry. Sometimes when I blow my nose or cough there appears to be traces of blood. I have brought up this issue with my landlord and asked not to use this method of heating as it is causing me major issues. Beyond that I have concerns regarding law enforcement seeing the bloodshot eyes and sniffling as suspicious if a traffic stop was conducted while behind the wheel. He refuses to use the central heating saying this was part of our agreement and my monthly rent would need to be higher as utilities are included in rent. Also, that this would need to apply to the other tenant as well. Essentially he's saying he will be loosing money instead of making it if we don't use the firewood. I intend to move out when my lease is up in June but until then is there any course of action I can take to get him to stop burning wood in the house as our heat source? I'm certain that im allergic to something that is burning in that stove as I only have this problem while its burning and even with allergy medication its causing me health issues.
For context the landlord is a crotchety old man who will get mad if you walk out of the bathroom and forget to turn off a light. Very rigid and set in his ways.
