International Filial Support For A Parent.

Not sure if this is the correct subreddit so correct me if I am wrong. Has anyone ran into this before; my wife’s dad who lives in Poland is threatening to sue my wife and her 2 other siblings for filial support. The basic back story is both of the parents immigrated and illegally stayed in the US for 5 years while leaving the kids in Poland with the neighbors when the girls(twins) were 7 and their brother who was 9. They came back when my wife was 12 and 2 years later the whole family travelled back to US overstaying their visas. Long story short we’ve been married for 21 years so yes my wife has citizenship now but her parents divorced 20 years ago and the father went back to Poland circa 2010. So now it appears that he is running out of money mainly because of his alcohol addiction and decided that it would be a great idea to sue the kids for support. He has her phone number as throughout the years she has tried to stay in touch with him during the holidays, so last week he calls her that he needs our address because he is gonna serve her papers for support. She politely declined and told him to f…ck himself. Besides the audacity for such a claim and him actually having the means to push it to the court system does anyone have any experience with such a claim? Also side note, he does have liquid assets in his name in Poland.
