Indiana Insurance In Michigan
Location: Michigan Male 39 I live in Michigan and my parents live in Indiana. Myself my wife f35 Son18m and son 17m have been using my mom's Indiana residence for car insurance. She lives just below the indiana Michigan state line and I live just above the state line in Michigan. We used to live there, but when we moved and bought a house we never switched. We all shop and work in indiana. We have been doing this for a couple years now. About a month ago someone came onto our property and struck a car on our property in Michigan. Insurance has been involved on both sides. I told myself as soon as this situation is over we are going to switch to Michigan, which I still want to do. Before that situation was even finalized my son struck another vehicle in Michigan. Signifying another situation in Michigan. They now want proof of residency in indiana of my mom's house, which I don't have. Im ready to switch to Michigan but now I don't know how to handle to situation. Do I just tell the insurance company the truth. What does this entail for me. Just not sure what direction to go first
