I Work As A Home Health Nurse And My Car Was Towed From My Patient’s House.

Location: Richmond Hill, GA Hi! So I work as a home health pediatric nurse. There’s not enough room for me to park in my patient’s driveway so I always park in the street next to my patient’s house. I have been doing so since June 2025 with no issues. Today I go to walk my pt’s speech therapist out and my car is gone. It had been towed per management. A couple months ago a sign was put up at the front of the community that said no street parking. A couple days later a letter was sent to everyone’s house stating no street parking but only for overnight. My patient’s mother even called management team to make sure this was correct and I was able to park on the street and they said this was correct. My pt has multiple therapists and doctors that come in and out of the house everyday of the week and a nurse for 15 hours a day. There is not enough room for everyone to park in the driveway. My patient’s mother called and explained that this and they said we need to ask neighbors if we can start using their driveways to park in. My question is, is there anything that can be done legally to ensure that my car and the therapists cars aren’t towed? Is it legal to tell my patient’s family that their medical staff is going to get towed but not provide a parking solution? Is there possibly a way to break a lease due to “medical necessity”?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
