I Was Intentionally Pushed By A Fellow Employee At Work, And Slightly Injured
Location: Arizona, USA
I have worked for many a bad company, and by now have learned to document and always cover my bases when it comes to work. I was pushed by an employee a few days ago, intentionally, and as a result have shoulder pain. I haven’t been to the doctor yet, but I have herniated discs in my upper back where I was pushed from, and I’m concerned that I have been caused further chronic injury. She pushed me twice; once in front of a manager whom told her to stop, and the second was with no further witnesses. I filed an incident report with the police, so it is documented outside of my work. I have spoke to HR, and was told I would receive an email with the steps they expect me to take according to their policy, though I have not received it yet, and plan to go to the doctor tomorrow. Is this worker’s comp? Is this a civil suit? What happens if I am fired? I want to make sure I have the resources to take whatever action is necessary, and hopefully get compensated for further complications that may arise.
