I Was Abused When I Was Younger And I Don’t Know If I Can Do Anything About It

Location: Illinois I am 19F and when I was about 13 I was sexually abused by my uncle more than once. I didn’t tell anyone at the time except a best friend (I have messages from over 5 years ago talking to her about it) and we haven’t talked in over 2 years i recently reached out and asked “hey do you remember me ever confiding in you about my uncle a long time ago” and she replied “yea i think so he touched you right? a few years ago when he was drunk?” I revealed it to my mom 2023 and we then told my aunt who decided to take my uncles side because “he was probably so drunk he thought it was me” and recently in recent times problems have arose with the family concerned why we don’t talk to them or go to gatherings they are at. (only me, my mom, aunt, uncle, a few cousins, grandma, grandpa, & siblings know) and also my aunt and uncle not letting my cousins and my cousins friends hang out with me. my aunt tried to convince my brothers to go to her daughter (my cousins) quinceañera and they obviously said no, one of them confronted her about the whole situation and we are awaiting her response. My brothers think I should go to the police but I am nervous I don’t have any “evidence” it’s not like I was taking a video when he used to abuse me at night and has it been to long? Is it worth trying to pursue?
