I Haven’t Heard From My Lawyer In Five Months

Location: Washington State I hired a lawyer to get in touch with the father of my child because I want to get his passport due to wanting to eventually try for a vacation outside of the US. The details of this case isn’t important aside from the fact that, I paid the retention fee, met up with the paralegal to talk about what is going to happen and the proceedings with the case. That was in January or February; I haven’t heard from them since. I’ve called and left voicemails and I emailed a few times. (Not excessive but once a month to see what updates there could be) it has been radio silence. This law firm has AMAZING reviews, the lawyer I met with for a consultation was great, since I couldn’t afford his fees he set me up with his intern and everything has been through his intern and their paralegal. I got ahold of their front desk person a few weeks ago just to make sure I’m good on my end financially and if they’re still representing me and she said yes they were and I’m good on my end. What should I do? Is this normal?
