I Got Subpoenaed By The Court!!!

Location: Tennessee Long story short I live in tn and I got in an issue with a neighbor he was drinking with another neighbor and turn out they got to fighting well he started walking past us while we were out side and I guess he confused us. Well he start kicking my vehicle and I told him to go away. He threated me with a beer bottle that he was going to throw and went on. We’ll He left for about 2 mins then came back and started doing the same kicking the vehicle. So I call the police. He was definitely intoxicated. He left and started throwing rocks at us. Well I didn’t want to get this guy in any trouble but I was scared he could harm me or my kids. Now I didn’t go to his courts. He could be a good guy he was intoxicated. Well I got a phone call after his court and was told I am subpoenaed and had to go to the next one. Well I got the phone call but no paper work. I’ve read that a subpoena needs to be served in person or certified mail I haven’t received any of that. So I was thinking to just not go again. Plus it’s a 70 miles drive for me.
