Husband Took Lsd And Admitted To Assaulting His Sister

My husband(m21) and I have been separated for eight months as he’s had substance abuse issues since our son was born(10mo).

Today he had called me to inform me that he had taken a high dose of LSD and we spent an hour taking about his mistakes(substance abuse, lying, etc) but then he abruptly said he needed to go to bed and ended the call. About an hour after that his biological sister(15) had called me crying saying that he was trying to talk to her about some shared trauma and she didn’t want to talk to him anymore, so she asked me to talk to him to stop him from calling her, so I did.

When I called him he started screaming that “everything is coming out” and proceeded to scream that he had raped his sister over and over again because he was “hypersexual”. I started yelling and told him he needed to tell the police, he yelled yes and hung up. I had called the police as well and they had told me that he had told them everything and that they would update me once things had been figured out. The responding officer had called me back saying he had admitted to raping her but unless the victim came forward there was nothing they could do(we live in MO)- even though they had repeated confessions.

His family is trying to sweep this under the rug. He’s in the military and I do not feel safe having him around me or my son, but I have absolutely no idea what I can do. I am disgusted and I hate myself.

Any advice would help.

TL;DR Husband(separated) took LSD and admitted to brutally raping his biological sister multiple times. Police have been notified and got his confession but unless victim speaks up they can’t build a case against him. We have a 10 month old son together, and I have no idea what to do.
