House Option Is Not As Paper

Location: Southern California
I purchased a newly built house in SoCal in 2021 and the developer offered options from simple interior decorations to engineering stuff such as extra sound deadening or extra wattage. One of my option purchase was water filtration system and on the option purchase agreement, it is described as a system from ‘A’ brand so I believed the water filtration system installed in my garage is ‘A’ brand. On the warranty paper, it shows the brand and model number for the system and it requires the filter has to change every 3-4 years.
I recently had to call plumber for toilet and drain and I thought maybe this plumber could change the filter of the filtration system so I asked him. He looked at the system and he asked me what brand it is since there were no logos or labels on it. I told him it is ‘A’ brand. The plumber immediately said it is not ‘A’ brand and he knew because he installs A brand filtration system all the time. He even contacted a sales rep from A brand and he confirmed that the one I have is not ‘A’. The plumber image searched of mine and it came out as an assembly of some cheap parts from retailers like Home Depot.
I contacted the developer and I asked if they know what was installed in my garage and it seemed that it is not as we agreed. Few days later he replied with the response from the original filtration system installer that they were updating the system from ‘A’ to their own customized high end ‘B’ during the installation and it might have caused confusion with product description like no big deal.
I was wondering if this is the case I can request developer to change it to what we have agreed in the first place.
