Hoa Targeting Me

Hi everyone, I just moved into an apartment in south Florida. When I first moved in I had an issue with the guy above me who did an unpermitted remodel on his bathroom. The shower was not done right which caused my master bath to floor and other parts of my apartment. Turns out the guy above me is the HOA president.

Well last week i woke up to tow notices on my truck saying it will be towed by November 12th. When I called the HOA property manager to find out why she told me that the president had reported me for having a commercial truck. I drive a 2006 Silverado 2500 that had a small orange light on it and no logos or anything on it. The truck is privately registered and insured and is not used for any commercial purposes. I told her that last Friday and she said she would talk to the HOA president.

Fast forward to this morning, i woke up with 2 more tow notices on my truck. The HOA president and property manager both said that they don’t care how the truck is registered because it “looks” commercial. What do I do in this situation because house bill 1203 says i can drive whatever I want as long as it’s legally parked and if they tow my truck the only recourse I have is to sue in civil court for the tow fee. What should I do because I feel targeted at this point.

I have been documenting everything and trying to get everything they said in writing via email. I also took pictures of 2 work vans that are parked next to me that haven’t had tow notices put on. I am the only person with tow notices.
