Had A Seizure While Driving And Crashed Into Restaurant Catering Van. 2 Years Later Being Sued Now For Damages. Need Advice In Fl

September 2023 I had my first seizure at home, was sent to the hospital and later released with no diagnosis. Fast forward months later February 2024 I had my 2nd seizure which this time was while driving and I crashed into a restaurants parking lot and crashed into the catering van, and unfortunately I was late paying my insurance so I was uninsured. Years later I am now diagnosed with epilepsy, on medication, not driving, and still have the occasional seizure every other month. Today I was served a lawsuit from the restaurants insurance company for $11,000 in damages. It also says I have 20 days to file a written response to the clerk of courts. I do not have that money and at the time I was completely unaware I was Epileptic and prior to it have had no history of seizures besides the one in September which I thought was just a stress induced panic attack or something of that nature. Any chance of this being dropped or maybe the amount lowered and put on a payment plan cuz I am living paycheck to paycheck. What should I do??? any help please ????????
