Getlabs Lost My Blood

Location: Seattle Hi, I needed a blood and urine test done through LabCorp and had GetLabs come to my house to take the blood and the urine samples. I waited a week to get my results nothing ever showed up so I called LabCorp and they never received my samples from GetLabs. I had to spend the morning away from my desk figuring this and scheduling a new blood draw appointment and then had to take the afternoon off work to go and get the labs done so that I hopefully have my results by my Doctors appointment at the end of the week. This is kind of an important medical situation, not just a routine draw. The GetLabs service cost me $99 dollars and I missed 3 hours of work which would have been $78 dollars. Also I’m already stressed about my health situation, I did not need this too.

I agreed to a disclaimer on their website when I registered for the GetLabs service, but I’ve been looking and apparently this happens a lot? There’s a lot of information about it. I emailed them to open an investigation and asked for a refund.

What can I do here? I’m in the medical field and thinking HIPAA violation? Small claims court? Help!
