Falsely Detained

Location: Lakewood, Colorado
I was pulled over tonight by the PD in Lakewood, Colorado. I rolled the front windows down and waited in my car for about 5 minutes before being abruptly commanded to get out, where both officers had their guns drawn toward me. I was told to put my hands out the window, then told to open the door and step out. I called out saying my seatbelt was still on, was told to get out again, so i said im removing my seat belt. I took it off, watched both officers tense up, held it out the window, dropped it and then opened the door. I then with hands up followed the orders of the officer, then stopped and was handcuffed. I asked twice what was going on and explained how terrified i was, and their response was “one second.” I was then searched, and was sat on the front bumper of their vehicle. Following that the female partner asked if i was alone then went and cleared my vehicle guns drawn. They then said my car is reported stolen in a hijacking in New Mexico. I explained that my car is registered in Colorado, and that I’m not the guy they’re looking for. Two other officers showed up and immediately told the first cop to remove my handcuffs, and then explained the situation to me, and that the cop was a rookie and didn’t read his computer right, etc. he then walked up to me and said he’s “letting me off with a warning” and im free to go, got in his cruiser and left. The other cop stuck around for a bit and made sure i was okay, explained their procedure and whatnot. I asked him if the first cop could come back so i could get his and his partners badge numbers, they shortly arrived and he gave me only his card, not his partners, then left again. I sat in my car to cool off for about 10 minutes before leaving, as i was absolutely terrified for my life during this interaction. I believe the initial cop came back and sat in the parking lot on the other side right before i left but im not sure. Anyway i put my stomach back together, changed my pants and headed home.
Is there any reason i should pursue a lawsuit, or just file a complaint? or breathe and be happy I’m alive to write this post at all, letting it go?
