Eye Doctor Didn’t Print His Name On My License Vision Form → Dmv Rejected It → Then He Publicly Replied To My Review Revealing I Was His Patient And That I Filed Complaints. What Should I Do?

Location: ohio I’m trying to figure out what steps I should take next.

I needed a vision form completed so I could renew my driver’s license. I had to travel out of state to get it done, and I planned to start driving for Uber once my license was renewed.

I went to an eye doctor for the exam and the required vision form. He completed it, but he didn’t print his name on the form, and because of that, the DMV rejected it. I spent money on travel and fees, and I still couldn’t renew my license. Because of this, I haven’t been able to start working with Uber.

I filed complaints with the BBB and the state vision licensing board. After that, I left a Google review explaining what happened.

The doctor replied publicly to my review and revealed details from my visit, including confirming I was his patient, what type of exam I had, and the exact form he filled out. He also publicly revealed that I filed complaints, which I never mentioned in my review. He then claimed the BBB and the Board “investigated and found no fault,” but the BBB told me they don’t investigate and can’t handle compensation, and the Board said my complaint is still under review.

Now I’m not sure what category this falls under — privacy issue, consumer issue, negligence, or something else. I’m not trying to get revenge; I just want to know my options and what I’m supposed to do next.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Should I wait for the Board to finish reviewing? Should I talk to a consumer attorney or a privacy attorney? Is this even considered a case?

Any advice would really help. Thanks.
