Eviction/appeal?

From my neighbor who doesn’t have Reddit,

Location: Northern Colorado

I hope I can get ideas, recommendations etc. This past week I went to court for an eviction hearing in Northern Colorado. The reason was for past due rent but the landlord was making it difficult to pay it. They also did not serve my Notice of Demand properly on emailing it. I received everything else like I was supposed to. Went to court to fight it, even sent the amount due on the notice via certified mail. Get to court and the landlord states they handed it to me personally while I was out walking my dog but had no proof. No signature, photos nothing. I did not find out that is how she said she served me until that day in court. She flat out lied. I know because I was on a chat with a lawyer until half an hour before she said she served me. I also work night shift so the time she said she served me, I was getting ready to sleep. I also do not walk my dog in the morning as she has arthritis and is very stiff in the morning. I do it in the afternoon. My routine is the same everyday. She only gave the correct breed of my dog but got the color all wrong and the judge believed her because LL has been doing this 20 years. Their law firm representing also has been in trouble for collecting fees from eviction tenants when they shouldn’t. The whole thing was a lie from them. I am trying to figure out where to go. I do not want an eviction on my record. I am a single parent with a child. I also found out that they had increased my rent twice in one year which is not allowed in CO. I guess I am looking for advice help anything. Thanks.
