Double Cat Attack And Residual Belongings Abandoned. If It’s Just Left Here, What Can I Do? Upstate Ny

I went to emergency foster my friend’s cats but then a day after the cats arrived one of the cats attacked me twice and considerable but non critical damage. The friend re took possession of the cats but left a bunch of stuff at my apartment. I need help figuring out when it would be considered abandoned property because they have been avoiding picking it up. The stuff left behind is not of considerable fiscal value but has sentimental value to the owners and the cats. I want to legally cover myself incase I just need to throw the stuff out (the cat tree is gross)

I legally can’t really do anything about the cat attacking me but I really want to be done with having contact with the owner and move on with my life. I already had to block the owner’s girlfriend for trying to antagonize me.

Also before anyone goes an asks what I did to provoke the cat I want to say that the owner didn’t tell me that the cat was aggressive. They didn’t tell me that the cat has sent them and their girlfriend to urgent care multiple times. I have cuts, scratches and bite marks wrapping around both legs from the knee down. The cat also attempted to attack me in my sleep. I found out about this because I woke up to cat #2 defending me. I’m also certified in animal handling and was a farmer and handler for many years. Friends from a different friend group have cats and all of their cats love me. I didn’t change my behavior.

Is this worth calling animal control? Or am I inviting trouble? I worry about these cats because they are clearly unwell from the amount of food that the owner has been feeding them.
