Do I Have A Case For Negligence Against My Employer (location: Hawaii)?tw: Sa / Sv
I live in company housing with around 10 other individuals of mixed genders. Last week, the housing manager who was under contract went into the bedroom of two girls uninvited who were blacked out / passed drunk and forced himself on them. There was enough evidence to arrest him for second-degree SA before even interviewing people and doing a r*** kit but he was not charged yet. I live across the hall with another girl and absolutely nothing was disclosed from our employer, only when I spoke with the victims because the cops were at our house arresting him anything get told to me, and I was the only informant for my roommate. We have kept living here in a literal crime scene and still nothing has been said by our employer other than a message telling all of us that “it’s sensitive” and to “keep our mouths closed”. Two days later, he was released from prison with those charges but still an ongoing case going to court and they allowed him to return to the employee housing, never even warning us women or the other residents. He still has a job here. The company owner is going to bat for him and even the other guys in the house do not believe the women. Is there a case here (location: Hawaii)
