Commercial Truck Backed Into My Car (parked)

Card image cap

Location: Florida

My car was parked in my driveway when a Kroger truck delivered. We get these deliveries weekly, never had an issue. But this time... the driver was 72. And sweet old guy but should not be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle. He backed into my parked car, didnt notice he had hit anything, continued to reverse... my car lifted off its tires and I was sure he was going to flip my poor car over before he heard me screaming stop. I didnt want to get too close and get ran over myself. So he pulled forward then backed into it a second time. Then he finally noticed me screaming and waving my arms behind this.

Kroger just says someone should reach out in 2-5 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My car has parts falling off of it if it moves. I have no idea if its safe to drive. The front has a huge hole. The headlight is smashed and cracked. Theres huge scrapes. He tore off a big chunk of the front bumper.

They cant even tell me if they are going to fix it or if they'd reimburse a rental. If I cant drive I need to rent one for the week it will take or miss work for a week.

What are my options ? Do I just have to eat the rental fee and hope they offer to pay? The driver reported it in front of us to his dispatch. He took responsibility and said he hit it. But ... the fact they wont even offer me anytbing other than maybe a week we might have someone reach out... :s when they did thousands in damage.
