Car Missing, Husband In Jail, No Help For Law Enforcement

Location: Franklin County, Kentucky, USA

I live in Franklin County, Kentucky. I am 26 with two kids

The weekend of September 20th my husband abused our 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son. He was finally ready for a warrant with indictment. He turned himself in this Monday with his mother.

I have been staying in TN with the kids with my family.

I am about to charge him for stalking since he put a keylogger on my phone in September 2024, a voice recorder in my car on my birthday, 2024. I just found out about the key logger.

He has said some serious shit on recording that has been turned in as evidence: "i saw the fear in their eyes and I could of kept going"

"I didn't mean to rape you" (oopsie tone)

He is in jail right now.

I cannot find my car. His mom is giving me a run around and now is not answering when I call. I have been trying to avoid confrontation in the jail or wherever they have him held.

My grandfather bought me the car as a gift and registration has my name.

I just do not know where it is.

The cops won't let me file it as missing because "since we are married it is joint property and so long as he knows where it is, its alright for him to withhold" and progressive snapshot won't ping my car without a case.

I have legal aid to work out some divorce. But the attorney has yet to even call me.

Am I just to sit on my hands and wait for a divorce? Should I go to the DA and try to file missing anyway? Go to the prison and confront him for a location?

Edit: I am in the process of moving to Southern part of TN, close to AL border.

I will also add that there is a chance his mother has this car. She is in the north part of TN. But again. I can't get anybody to help find the vehicle. I'm trying to keep all this anger and heart break from boiling over. And I feel like I might be annoying the local authorities because I keep calling and asking questions. Nobody even call me about him being in jail. I had to find out through Facebook.
