Airbnb Host Won't Refund Me Eventhough I Never Had Access

I was supposed to rent a room in a person's house through Airbnb. She sent me my specific key code to enter her place. I entered the code, and there was no sound of an unlock. So I entered it again, since maybe I mistyped. Still nothing. I tried the handle just in case, but it was locked. I tried the code several more times. I've used keyless entry in locations before, so this isn't new to me.

I sent the host a message, informing her that the code wasn't working and to call me with any assistance she could provide. I waited outside her house for about 10 minutes when I saw she read my message. So i just hung out thinking she'd call. Another 10 minutes go by, so i decide to call her, but her voice-mail is full. Now I'm a mixture of annoyed, exhausted from traveling, and starting to panic that I don't feel safe and it's getting late. I sent her a message telling her that I needed her to refund me due to my inability to access her house with the code she provided.

I book a last-minute motel instead since i have to wake up in 6 hours for a job that I've traveled here for. I settle into my motel with all my gear, relieved that i have a place to stay, when i finally get s message from the Airbnb host an hour later telling me how to get in, that the code works, where am I, and that she's home now. At this point, I now have to wake up in 5 hours, and i figured I did my due diligence in contacting her and making sure to have a papertrail of it in case things got weird. It got weird

I messaged the Airbnb host and re-requested my money back due to my inability to enter her house, and she had the nerve to say, "Why?" *I'm baffled." I contacted Airbnb support, but they said there was nothing they could do since I didn't cancel before the 24-hour cut-off she had for refunds. I told Airbnb support that I didn't cancel, I was locked out. They insisted there was nothing they could do.

Do I have any legal recourse here, or am I just SOL? AIO that I even have a chance to get my money back?
