Accused Of Taking A Package

I live in a building complex where our packages often get left in our lobby. I had someone come knocking on my door twice saying I took something of theirs and that they were shown images of me and given my floor, etc. Later Peace Officers/Public Safety came knocking on my door. They are claiming they have enough evidence to arrest me and accusing me of taking a package that was not mine. They stated they had video and photo evidence and even showed me a few pictures of myself picking up my packages stating that one of them belonged to someone else and that the person was able to prove it.

They then proceeded to tell me that because they have said proof that I could either return the supposed package, pay for it via money order, or they'll just lock me up and I can discuss this with a judge. All I did was pick up my packages though. I do not have anyone else's package. They called me and said they were going to look at the evidence again telling me that they just want to fix the issue and really don't want to arrest anyone. It's holiday season. I always shop and get lots of stuff coming in around this time either from friends, family, parent groups where we have secret santa events, or from my own shopping but because of this incident I have also looked into getting a PO Box just to avoid people harassing me.

The lawyers I contacted said they can't really help me apparently because there is no case at the moment. Im a single mom and I am worried since I am being accused of something I did not do and because they are threatening to arrest me should I not come up with some random package, or a money order. This has all been very stressful for me and my little one and has left me shaken because I do not feel me and my child are safe. Should I be concerned at all regardless of what their video looks like/ sees? Do I legally have to continue to talk to them if they call me or try to knock on the door again? Even though I took nothing should I just pay so they can leave me alone?
