RANCHO SANTE FE, CA – The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, a boutique luxury hotel with a star-studded history tucked into the rolling hills of Rancho Santa Fe, one of San Diego’s most exclusive enclaves, has announced the appointment of Andrew Archibald as Managing Director. A seasoned hospitality professional with more than a decade of experience earned at luxury hotels and resorts globally, Archibald will oversee all aspects of the newly reimagined, century-old address in the heart of sunny-kissed Rancho Santa Fe. Archibald will be responsible for all the daily operations of the boutique property ensuring an unparalleled level of service.

Archibald joins The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe from Rosewood Bermuda, where, as Managing Director, he oversaw hotel operations and crafted guest experiences that authentically reflected the spirit of the destination. Previously, he held the positions of Hotel Manager of The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York, Hotel Manager of Meadowood Resort and Spa in Napa Valley, Restaurant Director at Mandarin Oriental New York City, and Assistant Manager of The Ritz London.

“The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe captured me from the moment I arrived on property with its storied past and sprawling grounds,” said Andrew Archibald, Managing Director, The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. “It is a privilege to join this talented team and further the property’s enduring legacy as the community’s cornerstone, creating memorable and meaningful stays for our guests and community alike.”

Hailing originally from Hunter Valley, Australia, Archibald studied business, tourism and hospitality management at Southern Cross University Sydney Campus, New South Wales. Now settled in Southern California, he enjoys exploring the idyllic town of Rancho Santa Fe with his wife and dog, Lilly.

Archibald’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the hotel. The lush retreat just celebrated its 100th anniversary and debuted its Residences & Villa Collection as the final stage of its multi-million-dollar renovation. Imagined by renowned interior designer Nina Chiappa, with influence from acclaimed architect Steve Hermann, the five carefully curated, multi-bedroom accommodations in the Collection boast superb comforts and amenities including full kitchens, spacious common areas, and private lush courtyards overlooking the rolling hills of Ranch Santa Fe, ideal for long staycations, company and wellness retreats or multigenerational family stays. Archibald’s appointment, partnered with the completion of its renovation, ushers in a new era for the celebrated resort beloved by locals, Hollywood’s golden-age stars, and discerning travelers.
