FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – JetBlue has announced a significant expansion of its operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), reinforcing its position as the leading carrier at the airport. Beginning in November 2025, the airline will introduce nine new nonstop routes across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean, while also increasing service on nine existing routes.

With these additions, JetBlue will operate up to 113 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale during peak winter periods, the highest number of flights by any airline at the airport.

New destinations from Fort Lauderdale

The expansion includes the launch of service to Cali, Colombia (CLO), a new destination for JetBlue, alongside routes to Aruba, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, Liberia, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, San Pedro Sula, and St. Maarten. Seven of these are international and two are domestic, broadening connectivity options for South Florida travelers.

“As the top airline in Fort Lauderdale, with more departures than any other carrier on peak travel days, JetBlue is proud to keep raising the bar for customers in South Florida and to continue bringing them to the places they want to go,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airline partnerships. “By adding new routes and expanding service to top destinations, we’re giving travelers more opportunities to enjoy the comfort, quality service and value that sets JetBlue apart.”

“We are truly excited and welcome this expansion with open arms,” said Mark E. Gale, FLL CEO/Director of Aviation. “With the addition of seven international and two domestic routes from FLL, this gives South Floridians more convenient and cost-effective ways to visit and enjoy these cities, whether traveling for business or leisure.”

JetBlue will also expand frequencies on high-demand routes including Atlanta, Boston, Cancún, Hartford, Kingston, Punta Cana, San Juan, San José, and Santiago. The airline’s enlarged schedule at FLL represents its largest-ever program at the airport, with 46 nonstop destinations to be served this fall.

For JetBlue, Fort Lauderdale has become a critical hub in its network. The expansion reflects the carrier’s strategy to strengthen its position in South Florida while catering to growing demand for both international and domestic connectivity. With a mix of business and leisure destinations, the move positions JetBlue to capture a broad range of passenger segments.

For travel trade professionals, JetBlue’s latest announcement highlights the growing importance of secondary U.S. airports as international gateways. Fort Lauderdale continues to develop as a hub for Latin American and Caribbean connectivity, with JetBlue leading the market. The expansion also underscores the competitive dynamic in South Florida, where carriers vie for market share across both short-haul and long-haul routes.

All new routes, with the exception of Cali, Colombia, are now open for booking via JetBlue’s website and mobile app.
