Hama Releases Fall 2025 Industry Outlook Survey Results
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) has released the findings of its Fall 2025 Industry Outlook Survey, reflecting the views of 81 hotel asset managers on current and future industry conditions.
The survey, conducted in conjunction with HAMA’s 2025 Annual Spring Meeting in Austin, Texas, gathered insights from approximately 33% of the association’s membership. Results were presented to media in an online session that concluded with a Q&A.
Key findings
According to the report, the three most pressing concerns for asset managers are demand, ADR growth, and tariffs. These factors were cited as the main challenges shaping operational and investment decisions in the current market.
On broader economic conditions, just over a third of respondents (37%) anticipate that the United States will enter recession in 2025. This marks a decline from the 49% recorded in HAMA’s Spring 2025 survey, indicating slightly improved sentiment among asset managers.
In terms of portfolio strategies, 57% of respondents reported having made or planning to make changes to brand and/or management as part of their ongoing asset management approach.
