Disneyland To End Early Entry Perk For Hotel Guests In 2025

Disneyland is sunsetting a major perk for its hotel guests.
Starting Jan. 5, guests staying at the California resort’s hotels will no longer get early theme park entry.
Instead, they’ll receive one Lightning Lane entry per guest, per stay. Not per day.
Currently Disneyland hotel guests may enter one designated park 30 minutes early each day. It’s a chance to get a jump start on select attractions, ahead of folks staying off property.
However, upon analyzing how guests visit the parks, the resort said its bookings team determined most hotel guests weren’t taking advantage of early entry. Guests also said their plans didn’t always line up with whichever park was offering early entry on a given day.
Disneyland officials hope the new Lightning Lane perk will give guests more flexibility for their visits.
Beginning Jan. 5, they’ll get one-time Lighting Lane access for a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction during their stay. Pending attraction availability, they can choose from rides like Matterhorn Bobsleds, Space Mountain and Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!
Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions are excluded. Valid theme park entry and park reservations are required.
Disneyland announced the change on Aug. 20, with the opening of 2026 hotel and vacation package bookings.
The resort also announced that it will close its dedicated entrance for Pixar Place Hotel guests into Disney California Adventure, effective Jan. 5. Resort officials said that specific gate was underutilized. Pixar Place guests will be able to enter DCA from Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s dedicated entrance instead.
