Steph Curry might be nearing a return to the court.

The Warriors superstar, who has missed Golden State’s last 19 games, including Wednesday’s road matchup against the Boston Celtics, with patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee, could return in the next couple of weeks.

ESPN’s Shams Charania joined “NBA Today” on Wednesday and shared the latest on Curry, who has progressed in his on-court workouts.

“There is cautious optimism that Stephen Curry will return to the lineup at some point by the end of the month, and that’s after, I’m told, he had a strong on-court workout Tuesday afternoon in Boston,” Charania said. “[He’s] starting to run, cut, move, take some slight contact like the Stephen Curry that we know.

“The most important part, though, is he’s not experiencing the swelling that he’s had over the last several weeks or a month ago when he needed to get a PRP injection, from my understanding, due to those knee issues. So now it’s about him building on this conditioning, getting more and more comfort in that knee before he’s able to make the call to make it back on the court.”

Golden State re-evaluated Curry on March 11, sharing that the point guard had begun on-court work and that he would be re-evaluated again on March 21.

If the Warriors prefer to have Curry return at home, perhaps March 25 against the Brooklyn Nets or March 27 against the Washington Wizards make the most sense.

Golden State, after Wednesday’s game against Boston, will have 13 games remaining in the 2025-26 NBA season, and if Curry returns in the next week or two, he could have anywhere from seven to nine games to shake off the rust before the Warriors’ NBA play-in tournament bout.

The Warriors (33-35) currently have a one-half game lead in the standings over the No. 10 seed Portland Trail Blazers (33-36) in the Western Conference standings.
