Does Madden 27 have any true predictive power when it comes to real NFL games?

Based on my experience, the answer is almost certainly no. Madden is crazy, random, and illogical so many times that we run our Madden sims that no one should be taking these seriously.

But for the first two weeks of the season, Madden hasn’t been too far off from the actual results for the Detroit Lions’ 2026 season. Here’s how our Madden sims have played out thus far:

Week 1 vs. Saints

Actual score: 31-30 Lions (OT)

Week 2 at Bills:

Actual Score: 41-31 Bills
Madden score: 31-23 Bills
