The 2026 NBA Draft is just six days away, with the Warriors set to make their first-round pick at No. 11 overall.

Golden State has hosted several draft prospects so far, including Michigan’s Yaxel Lendeborg and Morez Johnson Jr., Houston’s Chris Cenac Jr. and Northwestern’s Nick Martinelli.

Highly touted Arizona guard Brayden Burries has been another player linked to the Warriors ahead of the draft, and will work out Thursday at Chase Center after declining several invitations from other NBA teams.

“The 20-year-old Arizona guard has declined workouts with select teams in the top 10, including the Sacramento Kings (No. 7), league sources said. There’s a belief that the Dallas Mavericks, selecting at No. 9, are one of his preferred landing spots,” ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported Wednesday.

“But he appears to know there’s at least a chance he might slip, and the Warriors are an intriguing backstop. Burries is scheduled to work out for them in San Francisco on Thursday, team sources said, the same day the Warriors are bringing in Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr. and Washington big man Hannes Steinbach,” Slater wrote.

Burries is a strong combo guard who can make an impact on both sides of the ball with his high IQ and motor. During his only season with Arizona, the San Bernardino native averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game in 39 games.

With his impressive two-way abilities, there is a high chance Burries will be selected ahead of the Warriors’ No. 11 overall pick. However, in the event the 6-foot-4, 205-pound weapon stays on the board after the 10th pick, Golden State would have an opportunity to add a high-caliber player like Burries.

The Warriors are in desperate need to add size and length to their roster during this pivotal 2026 NBA offseason, but if Burries is still available at No. 11, it surely would be difficult to pass on him.
