Thunder Predicted To Move On From Key Player In Mock Trade For Bucks' $175 Million Star

The Oklahoma City Thunder have had a dominant season thus far and that has continued into the playoffs.

Oklahoma City was easily able to make it out of the first round after sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies, setting up a second-round series against the Denver Nuggets.

Game 1 did not go the Thunder’s way as the Nuggets were able to make a comeback in the fourth quarter to steal a game on the road.

Oklahoma City was able to bounce back with a 43-point victory in Game 2 and the series now heads to Denver tied up at a game apiece.

Of course, the Thunder have looked like the best team in the NBA this season and they are one of the championship favorites thanks to their core led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.

While the Thunder are still chasing a championship this season, they could also look to add another superstar player in the offseason thanks to their abundance of future draft capital and plethora of young talent.

One player they could go after is Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who could be on the move with the Bucks struggling to end the season.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently proposed a trade that would land Giannis in Oklahoma City while the Thunder would send Isaiah Hartenstein, Cason Wallace, Nikola Topic and four first-round picks to the Bucks.

While the Thunder would be giving up a ton in this trade, including two key players in Hartenstein and Wallace, along with Topic who missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL, adding Giannis next to Shai and the rest of their core could turn the Thunder into a dynasty.

Despite this, Thunder GM Sam Presti has been lenient on making trades for superstars as the franchise has instead been able to develop some of their own.

While that may be the case, the Thunder have enough draft capital to pull of almost any trade they want, which could land them Giannis this offseason if they elect to pursue him.
