Tennessee Baseball Vs Vanderbilt In Weather Delay Sunday At Lindsey Nelson Stadium

Tennessee baseball and Vanderbilt are in a weather delay Sunday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The game entered a delay at 5:13 p.m. ET as UT officials came onto the field during a pitching change to alert lightning was within an 8-mile radius. It is an automatic 30-minute delay. Vanderbilt took a 5-3 lead on a two-run homer from Colin Barczi moments before the delay. Tanner Franklin got Barczi down 0-2 before surrendering a homer off the scoreboard, which was Barczi's second homer in the game.
The Vols won the opener 3-2. Liam Doyle struck out 12 in six scoreless innings, including 10 in the first four innings. Hunter Ensley had a string of highlights, including a wall-climbing catch in the seventh inning.
UT lost 10-6 in Game 2 after allowing four sixth-inning runs. The Vols got within 6-4 in the fifth before a pair of errors and a string of Vanderbilt bloop hits led to four runs against four pitches.
No. 12 Tennessee (39-12, 15-11 SEC) has lost three straight series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. It has won three straight series against the Commodores (35-16, 15-11), including a sweep of a series in Knoxville in 2023.
