Spike Technologies has launched its new API, expanding device support and introducing new analytics like Sleep Score, VO₂ Max and ECG, with stress and activity scores on the way

Spike Technologies, a health data startup split between San Francisco and Vilnius, Lithuania has unveiled its next-generation Wearables API, pitching it as a major step toward an AI-powered future for healthcare.

Founded in 2022, the company said the release is designed to make it easier for developers and health innovators to turn high-quality health data from wearables and connected devices into actionable insights for fitness, wellness and even clinical care.

“This release isn’t just an upgrade from the previous version. It’s a foundational shift,” Spike Technologies said in its announcement. “The next-gen API powers richer data, faster integration and AI-ready infrastructure, enabling developers to build the next-gen health applications.”

Customers are already using the upgraded API in areas such as female health, remote patient care, fitness apps and wellness programs, Spike Technologies confirmed.

The updated platform makes it simpler to connect data from a broader set of devices, including new support for Samsung Health, Huawei Health, Coros and Ultrahuman. Spike Technologies is also expanding its analytics. A new Sleep Score offers a quick snapshot of sleep quality while enhanced metrics such as VO₂ Max, ECG and weight provide a deeper picture of overall health. Stress and activity scores are coming soon.

“The future of health isn’t siloed — it’s connected, contextual and intelligent,” the company said. “That’s why everything Spike Technologies is building is designed to support an AI-ready future: one where diverse physiological signals are unified into a model that drives meaningful, real-time action.”
