Sha, Whoop Bring Wearable Tech To Wellness Tourism

As wellness tourism booms, SHA and Whoop unite to enhance the resort’s Leader’s Performance program with real-time insights
SHA, the upscale health and longevity resort with locations in Spain and Mexico, and a UAE property set to open in 2027, is partnering with wearable leader Whoop to integrate real-time data into its high-performance health program.
Whoop’s recovery and performance tracking system will now be a core feature of SHA’s “Leader’s Performance”program, designed for high-achieving, health-focused guests. Participants staying at least seven nights will receive a Whoop 5.0 device, a year-long membership to the platform and a personalized medical consultation. SHA’s clinical team will help interpret the data and build it into a tailored longevity plan that complements the resort’s diagnostics, precision nutrition, cellular therapies and biohacking protocols.
“In a continuous pursuit of innovation in longevity and high-performance living, SHA integrates Whoop into its evidence-based method,” SHA co-founder and vice president Alejandro Bataller said. “By combining the most advanced health wearable on the market with our clinical and holistic expertise, we create a personalized health roadmap — designed to meet your unique needs with unparalleled precision.”

The wearable features upgraded sensors, a 14-day battery life and new capabilities, including on-demand ECG, blood pressure insights and “Whoop Age,” a metric that quantifies physiological aging based on daily behaviors.
“At Whoop, we’re dedicated to helping people live longer, healthier lives through actionable, real-time coaching and feedback,” Whoop global head of human performance Dr. Kristen Holmes said. “Integrating Whoop into SHA’s advanced medical and wellness ecosystem brings a new dimension of personalized data to guests seeking longevity, balance and high performance. We are proud to launch this integration.”
It’s not the first time Whoop has stepped into the wellness tourism space. In 2022, the wearable company partnered with Sensei Lānaʻi, a Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii, to launch the Optimal Wellbeing Program, a five-day retreat combininghealth metrics with intention-setting and long-term lifestyle planning.
For its part, SHA is broadening its own toolkit with peptide-based therapies at its Riviera Maya property. Available only as an add-on to existing programs, the treatments are customized through lab testing and functional diagnostics to address inflammation, metabolism, hormonal balance and cognitive performance.
