The Washington Wizards lost to the Golden State Warriors, 125-117 on Monday night at Capital One Arena.

I feel like a broken record like most of the last few games. Well, really, this is Washington’s 12th straight loss. But though the Warriors led for the vast majority of this game and led by 17 at one point, the Wizards generally kept things reasonably close? So maybe this was a moral victory since… lottery balls are the goal at the end of the day this season, UNOFFICIALLY.

Trae Young, Bilal Coulibaly and Will Riley all scored 21 points each to co-lead Washington. For Golden State, De’Anthony Melton led with 27 points.

The Wizards’ next game is tomorrow against the Detroit Pistons. Tip off is at 7 p.m. ET. See you then. Let’s hope the Wizards don’t start rolling toward a franchise record losing streak … or worse.
