Rams Vs. Broncos Predictions: Will Snf Be A Defensive Slugfest?

The Los Angeles Rams will travel to Mile High Stadium to face the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. So that means it’s time for another round of bold predictions! Last week, I hit on 1 of 5 predictions; Matthew Stafford’s four touchdown passes being the winning prediction. I had predicted that Puka Nacua would go for 175+ yards but he was inactive and Davante Adams picked up that yardage and then some.

Los Angeles enters the matchup as 2.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel. With the cross conference matchup expected to be a Super Bowl preview, here are my bold predictions for Week 3.

1. Neither defense records a sack

Both defenses are in the top half of the league, but both offensive lines are considered top 10 in the NFL. The Rams have only allowed 1 sack this year.

On the flip side, the Broncos have two of the league’s best offensive linemen in Garrett Bolles and Quinn Meinerz. Sean Payton will also be determined to make sure that Aaron Donald does not wreck his gameplan.

2. Blake Corum outrushes Kyren Williams

Last week both running backs carried the ball 12 times. KW was the leading rusher but not by much. Corum’s tape showed a runner that had the ability to hit running lanes and show acceleration and burst. I think Corum will be pushing Williams for more playing time here soon.

3. Score tied 13-13 entering 4th quarter

Through 3 quarters, the Broncos and Rams will be tied at 13 apiece; setting up a nail biting fourth quarter. I think the team that finds the second touchdown first will ultimately prevail.

4. Tutu Atwell catches 3 passes

Just when you wonder how/why Tutu Atwell is on the Rams roster, he finds a way to make himself useful on the game field. With the need to stretch the defense and test some of the cornerbacks on the outside, Tutu becomes a useful gadget; hauling in 3 passes for 58 yards.

5. Rams offense converts two fourth down calls

In an attempt to kickstart the offense, the Rams go for it on 4th down not once but twice. They convert both times; resulting in both drives getting points.
