Players Rising Through Cowboys Training Camp
The Dallas Cowboys just completed their second padded training camp practice Tuesday afternoon and early returns are all of the positive nature. Players and the coaching staff are starting to settle into a groove and roster clarity is becoming much more transparent. We’re getting a much better idea of the makeup of this team and what they could potentially be capable of this season.
There’s currently a lot of talk around training camp about certain players who have been standing out amongst their peers. Players who are expected to show out have, but at some of the ones that are somewhat under the radar who have been a pleasant surprise.
WR Ryan Flournoy
CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have been the talk of training camp, and rightfully so, but Flournoy’s name has been on everyone’s lips as well. It looks as if he’s taken has game to an entirely different level, and in doing so, has become a favorite target for QB Dak Prescott, especially in the end zone where he’s caught multiple touchdowns already. With the favorable matchups he should see this year, No. 19 could have a career season.

CB Shavon Revel
Free agent addition Cobie Durant has been having a fantastic training camp with the Cowboys, but second-year CB Shavon Revel hasn’t been far behind. Last year’s third-round pick has been going head-to-head with Dallas’ dynamic WR duo (Lamb, Pickens) and has been holding his own, even getting the better of both at times. The 6’2”, 198-pound CB has been stringing good practices together, which should result in a key role this year.
Probably the best day Shavon Revel Jr. has had in a Cowboys uniform.

LB Jaishawn Barham
This year’s third-round draft pick Jaishawn Barham has been one of the more consistent and impressive players for the Cowboys defense since training camp kicked off in Oxnard. His strength, physicality, and athleticism continues to stand out whether he’s dropping in coverage or defending the run. He’s a certainly been better than advertised, and as such, could be competing for some serious playing time in 2026.

TE Michael Trigg
It’s often times difficult to gain attention as an undrafted free agent, but former Baylor Bear’s TE Michael Trigg must not have got the memo. He was considered a steal for the Cowboys as a UFDA and although not as talked about as much as the others on this list, he is starting to make some noise. If he can continue to string good practices together and remain consistent, he could challenge Luke Schoonmaker as Dallas’ TE3 this season.
