In a feel-good flex of fitness and philanthropy, a leading Planet Fitness franchisee turned treadmill miles into wishes and raised funds to support children with critical illnesses

Planet Fitness franchisee National Fitness Partners has raised more than $24,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, marking its second year supporting the nonprofit through a spring fundraising campaign.

Backed by Atlanta-based private equity firm Argonne Capital, National Fitness Partners owns and operates 200 Planet Fitness locations across the U.S.

The $24,121 haul came as part of April’s National Wish Month, with members across 176 Planet Fitness clubs logging miles on designated treadmills. For every mile tracked, National Fitness Partners donated 5 cents. Members also contributed directly to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and generosity shown by our Planet Fitness members and team,” National Fitness Partners CEO and president Stephen Kindler Jr. said. “Every mile and every dollar donated brings hope and joy to children facing unimaginable challenges. This campaign reflects who we are, not just as a fitness brand but also as a community that cares.”
