Michigan's Suspension Of Sherrone Moore A 'joke,' Josh Pate Says

The Michigan Wolverines recently decided to suspend head coach Sherrone Moore for the third and fourth games of the season against Central Michigan at the Big House and Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. as a late punishment for 2023-2024's Connor Stalions scandal.
The self-imposed sanctions mean that Michigan's second year head coach will be able to coach in the Wolverines' first two games of the season against New Mexico and Oklahoma, should everything hold as currently constituted.
On Friday, college football commentator Josh Pate took to his YouTube channel to share his thoughts on the situation, revealing his opinions on why Michigan decided to suspend Moore for the games that it did.

"Michigan did something that many programs have done before, they self-imposed sanctions, admirable, admirable?"
"Well hold on," Pate said.
"They looked at the schedule and they said alright, here's our wrist, we're gonna slap it, but not in week one or week two," Pate added.
"We're gonna suspend our head coach, but wait for it, he really wants to coach the Oklahoma game, that's where he went, so we're going to wait until week three, and week four, that's when we're going to suspend him.
"And then they just left, they just walked out of the room and expected everyone to take that seriously, of course that's a joke," Pate concluded about the Wolverines' suspension.
"This is classic SMA protocol, that's the 'Spank Myself Approach," Pate added, continuing to criticize the Wolverines' decision.
