Keaton Wallace, Jacob Toppin Head To Israel

The roster for the Hawks in 2026-27 continues to take shape even as the Jonathan Kuminga saga drags on. This week has brought us the news that two players from last year’s team won’t be back — the two having signed contracts with two different teams in Israel.

First, former two-way player Jacob Toppin didn’t quite have the big summer league performance he was looking for in a return to live basketball for the first time in months after a labrum injury ended his 2025-26 season. He’s now decided to sign with the basketball division of Hapoel Tel Aviv:

The team plays in the largest city of Israel in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Their crosstown rival in the same league also made a recent move for a Hawk.

Keaton Wallace just yesterday was reported to sign a deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv:

Wallace was on a two-way deal with the Hawks in 2024-25, but he earned a full contract ahead of last season. He appeared in 53 games for the team last season, although for a total of just 536 minutes.
