It’s Bruce Smith’s birthday — the Hall of Famer and Buffalo Bills legend turned 63 today. He, of course, is the NFL’s all-time sack leader — with 200 of them, a colossal number.

I strongly feel his 1990 campaign with 101 tackles, 19 sacks, and five forced fumbles, (tackles for loss weren’t tracked yet) remains one of the finest individual defensive seasons of all-time.

Smith was an eight-time First-Team All-Pro (!).

I’m a believer that Smith remains the best NFL player in Bills history.

After that statement, I’ll offer this — here’s how I’d rank the Top 10 all-time Bills players right now:

10. Butch Byrd

9. Billy Shaw

8. Mike Stratton

7. Joe DeLamielleure

6. Andre Reed

5. Thurman Thomas

4. Jim Kelly

3. OJ Simpson

2. Josh Allen

1. Bruce Smith

Do you think Smith is the best Bills player in team history? And how would you rank your Top 10 Bills players entering the 2026 season? I have a poll for you (if you haven’t voted in the The Feed yet)
