Falcons' 2025 First-round Pick Carted Off With Leg Injury

The Atlanta Falcons pass rush may have taken a big blow with the potential loss of 2025 first-round pick Jalon Walker.

The cart came out for Walker during a training camp practice on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports. Players surrounded Walker as he was placed on the cart.

The Falcons ended practice soon after the injury.

Walker finished the 2025 season a bright spot for the Falcons defense, posting 29 total pressures across 282 pass-rush snaps for Atlanta. Pro Football Focus also graded Walker out as a plus run defender, with an 81.3 run defense grade.

The injury could complicate matters given James Pearce Jr.'s pending legal issues and potential NFL suspension. Pearce Jr., another 2025 first-round pick of the Falcons, led the team in sacks with 10 1/2.

ESPN and NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Media reporter Steve Wyche report that Jalon Walker is "feared to have torn his ACL."

The Falcons have yet to provide an official update on Walker.

Walker appeared to suffer a left-leg injury during practice on Aug. 4. He was surrounded by his teammates before he was placed on a cart.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski rounded up the team before ending practice early.
