Landon Duckworth, a four-star quarterback from the recruiting class of 2026, has narrowed his college choices down to five powerhouse programs, as announced on Thursday via a tweet from recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett.

The 6’3”, 200-pound signal-caller from Jackson, Alabama, is ranked as the No. 6 quarterback in his class by the On3 Industry rankings, making him one of the most coveted prospects in the nation.

His top five schools—Auburn, Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and North Carolina—represent a mix of SEC dominance and ACC prestige, setting the stage for a heated recruiting battle.

Duckworth’s journey to this point has been nothing short of remarkable. Leading Jackson High to an Alabama 4A state title in 2024, he set a championship game record with 325 passing yards and five touchdowns on just 17 attempts, showcasing his elite arm talent and poise under pressure.

His skill set has drawn comparisons to some of the best quarterbacks in recent recruiting cycles, and his decision will undoubtedly shape the future of whichever program he chooses.

The inclusion of an SEC school like Auburn highlights the Tigers' reputation for developing NFL-ready quarterbacks, offering rich traditions and competitive environments while developing players in a methodical manner.

Duckworth would be a massive haul for Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze and the program, who are looking to turn things around after four consecutive seasons with seven losses.

As Duckworth weighs his options, the question remains: which program will land this dynamic quarterback and potential cornerstone for their 2026 class?
