Deion Sanders Makes Post After Shedeur Debuts With Browns

Deion Sanders showed some support for his son, Shedeur, after he debuted with the Cleveland Browns at rookie minicamp on Friday.
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the Sanders family. Shedeur Sanders, once projected to be a potential top-10 pick, saw his stock plummet during the pre-draft process and ultimately fell to the fifth round.
The Browns selected Shedeur Sanders with the No. 144 overall pick, making him the sixth quarterback taken. The group of passers taken before Sanders includes his new teammate, Dillon Gabriel, who was selected by Cleveland in the third round.
As Sanders made his on-field debut in his No. 12 Browns uniform during rookie minicamp, Deion showed support by reposting some of his early highlights on social media.

While Sanders faces an uphill battle to climb the depth chart, he made a strong first impression, according to Browns insider Brad Stainbrook, who attended practice.
"Yes, it’s just the first day of rookie minicamp — but Shedeur Sanders looked sharper than Dillon Gabriel. This is only the beginning. The competition is real, and it’s going to be one of the stories of the season," Stainbrook wrote on X.
Gabriel received the first reps during the opening day. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski cautioned against reading too much into the situation.
“I wouldn’t look into, really, anything,” Stefanski said. “I think you’ll see the whole weekend, going through the spring, we don’t pay too close attention to who’s in there first."
The Browns' rookie camp runs through the weekend.
