Commanders Camp Talk: Dan Quinn, Rachaad White, And Nick Cross
Wednesday is Day 6 of Washington Commanders training camp in Ashburn, VA. Head coach Dan Quinn spoke to reporters before the start of today’s practice. Rachaad White and Nick Cross are scheduled for Q&As after practice, along with players getting interviewed on the field..
Dan Quinn said the team will be back in pads today, with Laremy Tunsil and Sam Cosmi back on the field after getting the first vet rest days of training camp. There were too many penalties and bad snaps yesterday, and he wants to see that corrected during today’s practice in pads. All four QBs were practicing snaps with crew of centers the coaching staff is using with Nick Allegretti still sidelined with a calf injury.
Quinn praised the players on both sides of the ball that are learning new systems/schemes. He was impressed with the team’s collective IQ, and their work with two new coordinators. OC David Blough and DC Daronte Jones are both calling plays for the first time at the NFL level, and the head coach praised two of their players. Jeremy Reaves has earned more time at safety and he’s an elite communicator, remarkable teammate/player. Dyami Brown returned to the team this year after spending a season with the Jaguars. Quinn called him a fantastic addition to the team, and said he’s already making an impact.
