Some good news came with the Chargers’ second injury report of Week Three.

Left tackle Rashawn Slater, who only practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday, was a full participant on Thursday while being listed with a groin injury. Right guard Cole Strange, who was also limited in the team’s first practice with a pectoral injury, also was upgraded to full on Thursday.

As expected, Kayode Awosika and Dalvin Tomlinson were both DNPs with their respective injuries. Following the Raiders game, Jim Harbaugh said both would miss “some time” and the expectation is at least 1-2 games since they were not placed on injured reserve with tight end David Njoku.

One player that saw his status go the wrong way was cornerback Rodney Shelley. Shelley was limited on Wednesday with a hamstring injury but turned in a DNP Thursday.

As things are now, Trevor Penning looks to be in the running to start at left guard this week with Trey Pipkins remaining out with a knee injury.
