Can The Commanders Make A Super Bowl Run In 2025?

The Washington Commanders have been quite active during the offseason. They've let players go, made trades, signed free agents, drafted rookies, and invited players to minicamps. After the huge turnaround from 2023 to 2024, most people expect the Commanders to stall or hit a slump in 2025. After all, the hype around Jayden Daniels has died down, no one is surprised by what he is capable of anymore, and teams will be better prepared for him in 2025.
But what people aren't counting on is the Commanders' resilience. This isn't the same-old Washington anymore; it's the Commanders. Ownership has changed, and the general manager and head coach are in their second season with the team. While complacency after a good season can happen, respectfully ask yourself if Jayden Daniels, Dan Quinn, or Bobby Wagner are guys who get complacent. Spoiler alert: They aren't!
Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports recently named five things that could happen in 2025 that would have seemed unbelievable one year ago. The Commanders made it onto that list.
The Washington Commanders cruise to the Super BowlIt sounds totally plausible now, but put yourself back in the 2024 offseason, when Jayden Daniels was a dual-threat projection rather than a bona fide NFL star, and head coach Dan Quinn seemed like a tired retread rather than a beloved leader. A year later, the Commanders are in full win-now mode, adding Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel as Daniels' support. And no one would be shocked if they push the rival Eagles as NFC heavyweights.
Finally, someone is putting two and two together and making the math work. The Commanders are not going to lie down in 2025, slow down their pace, or ease up on their workouts. They will bring in the new faces and show them what this organization is about in 2025. The Dan Snyder era is officially gone and over. It's now the Jayden Daniels era, and he and his teammates have a bad taste from their NFC championship loss to the Eagles.
The Commanders may or may not make a Super Bowl run in 2025. There are a lot of factors that go into that. Injuries, health conditions, players underperforming, or things are simply not going as planned. But, it is safe to say that this team isn't going to just let things happen. They will fight, tooth and nail, to get to the Big Game, and if other teams aren't paying attention, they're liable to get run over on the Commanders' route to the postseason.
