Argentina, France & Italy Stars Training Individually After Inter Milan 4-3 Barcelona Champions League Win
Lautaro Martinez, Benjamin Pavard, and Davide Frattesi are training individually after Inter Milan’s Champions League win over Barcelona.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan took on Barcelona in a Champions League semifinal second leg on Tuesday.
It was a truly memorable night for the Nerazzurri. They booked their place in the final after a 4-3 win in extra time, progressing via a 7-6 aggregate score.
That did not come without a cost to Inter on a physical level, however.
The Nerazzurri players put in two hours on the pitch, in a match that was played an an exhausting tempo.
Therefore, there are a few casualties in terms of fitness.
Lautaro, Pavard & Frattesi Train Individually After Inter 4-3 Barcelona Win
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez trained individually today.
The Argentine had started against Barcelona on Tuesday.
However, that took a massive effort from Martinez. The Nerazzurri captain had suffered from a muscular elongation in his left thigh that had forced him off at halftime of the first leg.
Martinez rushed back for the second leg, and got himself on the scoresheet, and won Inter a penalty.
However, Martinez had to come off as a substitute in the second half.
And Sky confirm that this was because of a recurrence of his muscle problem.
Therefore, Martinez is training individually today rather than with the rest of the group.
Similarly, Inter’s match-winner on Tuesday Davide Frattesi is suffering an abdominal problem.
Therefore, Frattesi is also training individually.
Lastly, Sky report, Benjamin Pavard is still training individually as he recovers from an ankle sprain.
