24 Hour Fitness will open its doors nationwide on August 25 for access to free workouts, training sessions and fitness vendors

Summer is winding down, and 24 Hour Fitness wants you to ditch the barbecue and hit the squat rack.

The fitness chain is closing out the season by opening all of its clubs nationwide for a free “End of Summer Block Party” on August 25 from 4 to 9 p.m. local time, tapping into the wave of experiential fitness sweeping the industry.

Anyone can walk in and access 24 Hour Fitness’ full slate of equipment, group fitness classes and complimentary personal training. Local vendors will also set up shop, showcasing everything from activewear to supplements, transforming the night into a mashup of workouts, shopping and socializing.

The block party also doubles as a membership push at a time when many consumers are ready to hit reset and get back into their routines. Guests can try workouts and sign up for personal training packages that add structure and accountability.

“This is the single best moment of the year to become a member,” 24 Hour Fitness president and CEO Karl Sanft said. “If you’ve been waiting to kickstart your fitness journey, this is it. We’re offering competitive membership pricing, but more than that, we’re removing the guesswork and helping people experience how guided fitness really leads to results.”

Those interested can find details for their local club here.
